The Wellington Region Heritage Promotion Council Inc is made up of people and organisations interested in the preservation and promotion of our regions heritage.

Since 1993 we have organised and promoted Heritage Month, with a wide variety of themes, and this has had a marked increase in the publics awareness of heritage matters. Heritage awareness has also been strengthened by the provisions of the Local Government Act.

Our members are from cultural, historical and heritage groups in the Greater Wellington Region, and we receive strong support from city and district councils, including the Wellington Regional Council, as well as government departments, large corporations and small businesses.
We welcome membership from any organisation which is involved in heritage or historical matters, and from any individual who is interested in participation in our activities. The annual subscription is $20.  Click here to download an Application Form.
