Efil Doog Garden
1995 Akatarawa Road, 13 km from Upper Hutt

The theme "Heritage And Our Environment" embodies exactly the nature of Efil Doog. A combination of botanical interest, enjoyment of art and the pursuit of knowledge and practical application of both. What could be more precious than our cultural tradition, feeding ourselves, and securing and embracing our environment?

A beautiful garden (4.5 hectres), the art gallery, sculpture and Bonsai collection. All attractively designed with imagination and humour.

View trees, shrubs and perennial plants. Wander the walks, sit and enjoy the tranquility and peace of the picturesque settings.

Ponder the early New Zealand impressionist original art.

Relax to the whisper of the mountain river, the joy of the bird song and breathe the fresh clean air.

Maybe a 3 kilometre bush walk?

This jewel in the Upper Hutt Crown is set in 100 hectres of native bush and exotic forest.

The fee includes education and demonstration with an emphasis on growing vegetables and flowers. Car parking and communal riverside lawn and barbeque are provided. If required an optional lawn cutting service is available at a small extra cost.

Ideal for those who want to reconnect with nature, grow their own vegetables and flowers, get their hands into the soil or just respond to the healing power of nature.

Enjoy the garden fellowship or maybe just sit in the sun on your own outdoor space.

Parsley Patches are limited so if you are interested Ph 04 5267924 or email efildoog@xtra.co.nz.
